General Safety & Operating Hints: Ensure there is an adequate water supply close by, either from the mains or a reservoir. Plug the equipment into a suitable electrical source (not an extension lead). Pressure washers use a narrow high-pressure jet of water to blast dirt free, because the water is traveling fast it hits the surface with high kinetic energy knocking dirt away like a constant rain of tiny hammer blows (it is always a good idea to test an area before cleaning to ensure the pressure washer does not harm the surface). Adjust the pressure regulator as required to obtain the required working pressure (Note: high pressure can cause the gun to "kick", make sure you have a firm grip of the gun and lance). During very cold weather it is really important to protect the machine against freezing. Do not operate the pressure washer should it become frozen, move it to a warm area and allow it to thaw naturally. Never point the high pressure spray jet at any person, animal, glass or any other material which may shatter. Never attempt to disconnect any hose with pressure in it or allow the hose to be flattened or kinked. Do not use a high pressure hose from a ladder, always use a platform tower or proper scaffolding. Do all you can to keep plugs and sockets in a dry place or covered to prevent entry of water.
The Pressure Washer does not come complete with a water hose (hose pipe) that connects to mains water supplies, but does have a hose connector attached.
If hiring a 240V model an RCD power breaker will automatically be added to your order, if hiring a 110V model, then a transformer, generator or 110V site supply will be required for its use.
